All ongoing NOS-HS and NOP-HS projects will be technically closed at the Academy of Finland online services as of 15 December.

All current NOS-HS and NOP-HS grant holders need to register in the NordForsk online platform for the transfer and to receive a new contract from NordForsk.

NOP-HS journal grant funding to individual journals will end in 2023 when last payments to current grant holders end. There will not be any new calls to individual journals.

The NOP-HS Journal grant call for 2021 received altogether 32 applications, of which 30 were granted funding.

The exploratory workshop call 2022 will be launched early 2022. The call is estimated to be open 15 February and close on 14 April 2022. 

In the autumn of 2021, the NOS-HS Secretariat carried out a report into the impact of the pandemic on the exploratory workshop design so far. The report was prepared and carried out by the NOS-HS Secretariat Intern Mari Lehvä.

The call received 51 applications of which 32 projects were funded.

The Nordic publications Committee for Humanities and Social Science Periodicals (NOP-HS) commissioned a study of the Nordic journal landscape.

NOS-HS Secretariat transfers permanently to NordForsk starting 1 January 2022.
